South Hams District Council has completed the next phase of a project to improve its public toilets.

The council has completed its refurbishment of the public toilets on Fore Street in Kingsbridge.

The toilet refurbishment works are part of the council’s wider commitment to invest in its communities. Earlier this year, the council finished the first phase to improve its toilets in Totnes.

Cllr Victor Abbott, Executive Member for Community Services, Operations and Leisure, said: “The works to modernise the Fore Street toilets will really make a difference to people visiting Kingsbridge town centre.

"People value community assets like this, and things like clean, more modern facilities are crucial to our visitor experience.

“The wider refurbishment programme has been a success so far, with freshened up toilets, benches and bins across the district; this work is part of our commitment to support our communities in every way we can.”
