Man pleads not guilty to murdering his girlfriend

A man charged with murdering a woman just outside Kingsbridge has pleaded not guilty.

Rowan Sutton, 30, of West Charleton Court, Kingsbridge, appeared at Plymouth Crown Court on Monday charged with the murder of Aimee Pike.

The 22-year-old died on the A379 Embankment Road in Kingsbridge in the early hours of Wednesday 23 April.

His Honour Judge Linford has set a trial date for 20 October at Plymouth Crown Court and Sutton has been remanded in custody until then.
