Kingsbridge Police have warned about a man pretending to be a police officer, Action Fraud representative or banking clerk.

Police say they have received a "number of reports from the public" that a man pretending to be either a police officer, an Action Fraud representative or a banking clerk had contacted them "giving instructions which then leads to a request to withdraw cash from the bank".

Police say: "Please treat this is as fraudulent and do not respond. Contact your bank, Action Fraud and Police if you are concerned.

"Please keep yourselves, your friends and your family safe."
