Road through Halwell closed after crash

The road through Halwell is currently closed following a crash between a car and a motorbike. 

Update: A police spokesperson said: "The bike rider has sustained serious injuries, not thought to be life-threatening or changing.

"The vehicles have been recovered and the road was cleared at 12pm.

"Officers would like to thank the public for their patience while this incident was dealt with."

A police spokesperson said: "We are currently at the scene of a collision involving a car and a motorbike on the A381 at Halwell, which occurred at around 7am.

"The motorcyclist is believed to have sustained injuries but the extent isn’t known at this time.

"The incident is ongoing."

The road is closed from Harbertonford to Totnes Cross and is causing considerable traffic so avoid the area if possible.
