Theft of power line knocks out power for "many households"

Police are appealing for information after the theft of power line knocked out power for households in Sparkwell for up to four hours. 

After a spate of thefts in the area, a "further power line" was cut at around 8.45pm on Monday, 16 January, in the area of Ledgate Lane, Hemerdon mast or West Park Hill in Sparkwell. 

A spokesperson for Kingsbridge Police said: "We are appealing to anyone who may have seen or heard anything or may have CCTV nearby. Apart from being a danger to life this incident took the power out in Sparkwell for many households for up to four hours.

"Please if you have any information call 101 and quote log 901 of the 16/01/2023."
