A woman was taken to hospital after being hit by an unoccupied car in Kingsbridge yesterday. 

Police were called to the scene at around 6pm on Thursday, 12 October, following a "collision between a pedestrian and a car in Kingsbridge". 

The unoccupied car had rolled downhill at Saffron Park and collided with the woman.

Ambulance and the air ambulance attended the scene.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "The woman in her 70s sustained a foot injury. She was taken by ambulance to Torbay District Hospital.

"The vehicle has been seized by police for examination. Enquiries continue."
