National recognition for local photographer Martyn Norsworthy

Local photographer Martyn Norsworthy has won five bronze awards in the Guild of Professional Photographers Image of the Month competition.

The Guild of Photographers is a highly regarded national photographic body and its members are dedicated to enhancing their skills in the art, craft and profession of photography. The competition typically attracts almost 1,500 entries each month.

They are committed to achieving the highest standards of professionalism for the benefit of their customers. They pledge themselves to delivering the highest standards of customer service and to a journey of continuing professional development.

Martyn said: “Wow what a great end to 2022. Hopefully I have achieved enough points to Win the Photographers Bar in the Wedding Category. The winning images have now been put through to the Photographer Of The Year”.

Lesley Thirsk, a Director of the Guild said that she is “delighted" that Martyn has achieved this Award! She said: "The Guild has very demanding standards when judging photographic competitions. In fact, the judging is undertaken by a panel of internationally recognised experts from a variety of photographic backgrounds, so it is an achievement to be, quite rightly, proud of!”
