Kingsbridge Fair Week is back!
Kingsbridge Fair Week is back this weekend!
After a two-year gap, Kingsbridge Fair Week is returning returning to the town this Saturday and will be bringing fun and excitement back to the summer all of next week.

Being held between Saturday, 16 July - Saturday, 23 July, Kingsbridge will see live music, celebration and entertainment across all seven days.
Watch the chaos that is the raft race, the beauty of the fireworks, exercise your brain with the Crazy Quiz or try your hand at the boules competition.
For the youngsters, Rowlands Fun Fair will be on the Quayside car park with rides, waltzers, dodgers and more, and throughout the week they can enjoy themselves at the children's disco, teddy bear picnic, the floral dance, the country dancing and the lantern parade.
If that isn’t enough, there will also be the 10K road race, the fun run, the football competition, the dog show and much more, all polished off with the carnival parade on Saturday night.
After two years of the pandemic and the aftermath, the return of Kingsbridge Fair Week will signal a welcome return to normality as well as a return to the tradition and celebration of the South Hams and our community.
This year’s Lantern Parade has a ‘celebration’ theme. There will be two free family workshop days on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 July for you to create your lantern. These workshops will be held on the grass area outside Quay House from 11am – 5pm on both days.
Anyone, of any age, can make their own lantern on this year’s theme and join in the parade on Wednesday, 20 July. Lanterns should be lit by battery-operated lights. Organisers reminded people that their children would have to carry the lantern from the top of town car park to the Town Square, so “watch the weight”.

The Kingsbridge 10k Road Race is going to take place on Thursday, 21 July. Registration starts at 5.30pm at the Recreation Ground and the run begins at 7.30pm with a briefing at 7.20pm. You can enter using the form in the programme, or through this website: FullOnSport. The fun run starts at 6.30pm.

The Fair Week Five-a-Side Football on Saturday, 16 July, has sessions for Juniors (primary school), Intermediate (secondary school under 16), and Adults. There is a maximum of seven in a team and costs £5 per team to enter.

The Regal Club, Kingsbridge, is hosting Fair Week Euchre and Fair Week Poker, so if you're a fan of either get yourself down there on Monday, 18 July, and Wednesday, 20 July, to see if the cards are dealt in your favour.

You can get your official programme, with entry forms and details of all the events from Kingsbridge Information Centre, Martin McColl on Fore Street, Martin McColl on The Quay, Co-op on Ilbert Road, Tesco and Morrisons. You can also check the Kingsbridge Fair Week website www.kingsbridgefairweek.co.uk.
