The Kingsbridge and Salcombe Chamber of Commerce is offering £250 grants for signage in preparation of the 'Summer of Staycation'.

A spokesperson for KSCC said: "We want the area looking at it’s best so that all those new visitors fall in love and decide they want to come back.

"That’s why we’re offering businesses in Kingsbridge, Salcombe, Modbury and the surrounding villages the opportunity to apply for a £250 grant. The grant is to help towards the costs of new signage, banners, vehicle graphics, branded clothing or repainting your business frontage. Anything that improves the appearance of the area, helps you to promote your business and involves you using another local business to complete the work.

"The fund is open to members and non-members. All you need to do is email us and in our reply we will ask for some very simple information which will form your application. On confirmation of the grant, return with an invoice for works completed along with proof of payment and receive the grant to your bank account within fourteen days."

Grant recipients will also receive six months free membership of KSCC, which includes a directory listing on their website, the ability to share offers and news to other members through their fortnightly “Business Talk” e-newsletter, networking events and more.

The Kingsbridge & Salcombe Chamber of Commerce has been supported in putting together this fund by contributions from South Hams District Councillors Cllr Judy Pearce, Cllr Denise O’Callaghan and Cllr Susan Jackson.
