Coastguard and RNLI rescue vessel in distress off Gara Rock
Salcombe RNLI and Kingsbridge Coastguard Rescue Team were called to a vessel in distress near Gara Rock.
Falmouth Coastguard tasked Salcombe RNLI and Kingsbridge Coastguard Rescue Team at 5.30pm on 23 August, to a "vessel in distress" near Gara Rock.
A spokesperson for the KCRT said: "Our colleagues from Salcombe RNLI were already on scene, and had taken the vessel under tow back to the safety of Salcombe Harbour. The team made sure the occupants of the vessel were okay and assisted them on their journey back to Salcombe. The team then stood down and returned to station.
"Thanks to Gara Rock Hotel for their help in this incident.
"Remember if a coastal emergency, dial 999 ask for the Coastguard."
