Ivybridge Police has warned of people targeting "vulnerable" people and "demanding an overinflated charge for gardening work".

Ivybridge and Rural Police has warned of a "white flatbed truck has been in the Ivybridge area this morning [Wednesday, 10 May], the occupants knocked on a vulnerable persons door and demanded an overinflated charge for gardening work".

They said there was "no evidence of gardening work taken place".

Luckily, a carer was present at the address that was targeted who "prevented any exchange of funds".

Police attended and details were taken, with all information passed to Trading Standards.
