Sinkhole appears near Thurlestone beach
A sinkhole has appeared near Leas Foot beach in Thurlestone.
A sinkhole is thought to be caused by a collapsed mineshaft, and has appeared between Thurlestone Golf Club's clubhouse and Leas Foot.

South West Water engineers and highways experts were at the site of the sinkhole by on Tuesday.
The water company was quoted as saying that the hole, thought to be nearly four metres wide and nine metres deep, was likely caused by a collapsed mineshaft, which was being investigated by South Hams District Council.
Temporary fencing has been erected and the public are being asked to avoid the area.
