A stabbing occurred in Totnes last night, one man has been arrested, no others are sought.

Devon and Cornwall Police officers were called to Queens Terrace, Totnes, just before 4.30am on Tuesday, 20th April. 

Police officers found a man with a stab wound at the Morrison's fuel station, the wound is not thought to be life threatening or life changing.

The man was taken to Derriford Hospital for treatment and a 24-year-old man from Totnes was subsequently arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm with intent and is currently in custody.

Those involved are thought to be known to each other and no further suspects are being sought.

DC Phil Harrison said: “We would like to reassure the community that there is no wider threat to members of the public from this isolated incident.”
