Two South Hams beaches are named in list of 'top trending beaches'

Mill Bay Beach in East Portlemouth and Bantham Beach have been named in the top ten 'trending beaches' in a Wanderlust report. 

A Wanderlust travel report for Premier Inn named both Mill Bay Beach, East Portlemouth, and Bantham Beach were named in the 'top trending beaches' in the UK. 

The top trending beaches list was created by looking at the number of times images of the beaches were included in people's Pinterest boards or how many times they were searched for in an average month, as people started creating their wanderlust boards after the lifting of Covid lockdowns. 

Talking about the third places Mill Bay Beach, the report says: "With rockpools and clean, golden sand, this Devonshire beach can be accessed by ferry or walking along the beach at low tide. Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Mill Bay secures itself the position as the third-most trending beach in the UK, and the 13th spot globally, beating the likes of Calblanque beach in Spain."
