Dartmouth Academy, part of Education South West, have announced their latest Bingo event dates this month.

The well attended community events will continue to be held at The View in the school on the following dates:

4 October
8 November
10 January

Doors will open at 6.30pm for eyes down at 7pm. There are cash prizes plus a cash jackpot game, as well as raffles and tea, coffee, and cake on offer. Pupils will be volunteering to help out at the events.

All profits from the fun filled evenings will go towards helping Dartmouth pupils fulfil their dreams of visiting Borneo in the summer of 2025. Borneo is the third largest island in the world and is situated in Southeast Asia’s Malay Archipelago, it is famous for its orangutans, rainforests, and diving.

The expedition will be organised with Camps International, who help schools arrange ethical journeys with impact. As a global social enterprise, they connect pupils with the real world and real people. They hope that these trips create a lasting positive influence – on pupils and the planet.

Paul Girardot, Principal at Dartmouth Academy said: “I am so proud of the work our pupils are doing to make their dream of visiting Borneo next year a reality. I do hope the local community will come and support them by attending our Bingo evenings this term. Hopefully, it will be Lucky Sevens for everyone involved!”

Matthew Shanks, CEO of Education South West said: “It’s great to hear that Dartmouth Academy is hosting more Bingo events this term. Not only is this a brilliant way for the community to get together, it’s a fun way to fundraise for a once in a lifetime trip for local children.

"At Education South West, we believe that academic success is just one element of education. Experiences that go beyond the classroom, give children the chance to develop life skills, cultural understanding and a worldly perspective.”
