GENERAL ELECTION: All the information for voting in the South Hams

Find all the information you need for voting in the General Election in the South Hams - 4 July 2024.

***The General Election has been called for Thursday, 4 July 2024***

DEADLINES: 

• You must register to vote by 11:59pm on 18 June 2024 - register to vote here: www.gov.uk/register-to-vote 
• You can vote in person, by post or by proxy (have someone else cast your vote for you) 
  • You must apply for a proxy vote by 5pm on 26 June 2024 - apply online for a proxy vote, if you want to apply by post for a proxy vote, you must get your proxy vote application to your local Electoral Registration Office by 5pm on 26 June 2024.
  • You must apply online for a postal vote by 5pm on 19 June 2024, if you want to apply by post for a postal vote, you must get your postal vote application to your local Electoral Registration Office by 5pm on 19 June 2024.
• To vote in person you can visit your polling station (written on your polling card) at any time between 7am and 10pm on 4 July. You DO need photo ID.  

POLLING STATIONS: 

There are 84 polling stations across the South Devon Constituency and you can find your local polling station in the list at the bottom of this article, but it will also be written on your polling card. You DO NOT need to have your polling card with you to vote.
