March 20th is the International Day of Happiness and what better way to mark the occasion than to celebrate all those places in our lovely South Hams that make us happy.

Tell us about your happy place and why it means so much to you, and you will be in with a chance of winning a copy of the new book '10 Keys to Happier Living' hot off the press.

Written by Vanessa King from the Action for Happiness movement, and due out this month, the book explores what really makes us happy, plus science-based ways to help us live happier lives.

Where in the South Hams makes you happy?

If you are lucky enough to live in the South Hams, you’re certainly off to a head start! With its beautiful beaches and rolling countryside nudging up against the magnificent open spaces of south Dartmoor, the area has no shortage of stunning locations to uplift and inspire us.

Or, maybe there’s a cosy café or restaurant where you can always relax and unwind alone or with friends … or somewhere that holds special memories. Wherever or whatever makes you sigh with pleasure or jump for joy, we’d love to hear from you.

Click here to send us your response and we’ll publish a selection of our favourites to make the 20th a day to remember. Happy pondering!
