A pub is asking nicely for the "safe return" of their blackboard sign before they send their CCTV footage to the police.

The Church House Inn in Stokenham has had their blackboard sign taken from outside their premises overnight and are asking nicely for the people responsible to return it before they take the next steps.

The sign that has been nicked - The Church House Inn, Stokenham

The team posted on social media to say: "If you could pop it back where you found it within the next 24 hours that would be great, otherwise we will have to send the CCTV clearly showing your registration plate to the police.

"Wonderful things CCTV cameras... night vision and everything!"

We hope the thieves would prefer to return it than getting a knock at the door from the rozzers.
