Waste and recycling changes over Christmas and New Year
South Hams District Council is running on a delayed timetable for bin collections over the festive period.
Collections over the festive period will be delayed due to the three bank holidays.
See your updated collection dates in this table:
Collections will return to normal in the week beginning Monday, 16 January.
South Hams District Council has said that they cannot recycle "cards containing glitter or plastics, or any wrapping paper (except plain brown paper)".
A spokesperson explained: "We can only accept pieces of cardboard under 75 cm long. Anything larger will need to be taken to the household waste recycling centre, as it won't fit on the vehicles."
The SHDC website also gives advice on how to "reduce, reuse and recycle" this Christmas.
It says: "There are lots of things you can do to produce less waste during the festive season. We've collected some hints and tips for the most common items.
