We know that your pet is one of the family, make sure their needs are met during the Covid 19 pandemic and don't let them go hungry or be left in pain.

There are businesses in the South Hams who truly understand the need to look after your furbabies whilst safeguarding your health and the health of those around you. Thankfully pet supplies can be delivered to your door with contactless payment. There is also help for vulnerable members of the public and people in isolation who urgently need to get their pet to the vets but can't leave the house.

Here's the contact details for some local businesses you need to remember over the coming weeks:

With more and more businesses closing doors, we would like to inform you that ours will remain open for as long as possible. Due to the nature of our business, we are seen as a necessity for supplying food for both pets and livestock. so we will operate as carefully as possible to see you through the current pandemic. In order to try and protect yourselves, other customers and members of staff, please follow the safety measures put in place which are advertised at the shop entrance. You are more than welcome to be served outside if you'd prefer.

For our customers that are self isolating, we have been taking orders and payments over the phone for delivery to local areas to ensure that the needs of animals are met.

South Hams Pet Care

Authorised Pet Taxi and Pet Ambulance, licensed transport. Whilst I’m still physically able to, I will be running an emergency service of “door to door” for those at risk, or for key workers who are unable to get their pets to either South Moor Vets or Selworthy, or for medication pick up. I will be taking all necessary precautions. I will reduce my charges to as low as possible during this time just to help cover the cost of running the service.

I am authorised by APHA (dept of DEFRA) to transport pets so your furry friend will be insured during transportation.

Both vets are fully aware of my service and have my contact details. Contact must be made with the vet prior to any transport arrangements being made to ensure that it is necessary for your pet to receive treatment from the vet.
