Car overtakes on blind bend and smashes into oncoming vehicles

A car has overtaken traffic on a blind bend and smashed into oncoming vehicles but, amazingly, there doesn't appear to be any serious injuries. 

Devon and Cornwall Police closed the A3123 Totnes Cross to Dartmouth Road at around 7pm today, 1 June, following a crash involving a dark coloured VW Scirocco. 

Tristan Mitchell, who arrived on the scene shortly after the incident occurred said: "Apparently the driver of the VW in the photo overtook at speed and hit an oncoming car.

"Three cars needed a recovery truck each.

"Police at the scene told me that there was, amazingly, no serious injuries bar shock for those involved."

Once the vehicles and debris were cleared, the road was reopened around 8pm.
