More than 100 photographers took part in South Hams District Council's competition this summer to "depict the South Hams".

Voted for by councillors, the overall winner of the photography competition, who receives a hamper of local goods, was Sophie Rennie. Judges felt that her image of ‘The Gate’ captured a sense of both the past, present and future for the South Hams.

Many of the stunning photos are included in the new "People's Plan", adopted Better Lives For All strategy document, to bring it to life and show the district through the eyes of the residents.
