Dartmouth Community Chest launches warm winter space appeal

Dartmouth Community Chest is fundraising to support their annual work to provide a community warm space in the town.

Dartmouth Community Chest, the volunteer-led charity providing local services to Dartmouth and the surrounding villages, runs the community café, food and hygiene pantry, fuel poverty support, furniture bank, clothes bank, Christmas toy bank, community Christmas day lunch and much more.

Dawn Shepherd, organiser said: "We work in the community all year round supporting each other through the ebbs and flows of our rural town.

"During the winter months, we turn the café into a warm space, with hot meals and drinks, warm clothes and shoes and lots of support from the services we invite to the café.

"All the donations would be used to provide this free service to our community through the cost of living crisis, and harsh winter months in our town that relies on seasonal work in the summer months."
