Dart Tree Consultancy was set up in 2011 by Keith McBride and Stewart Killick. We noticed a requirement for an independent tree consultancy which was not connected to a tree surgery company. That way any advice given is in the best interests of you and your trees. We operate across the South-West including Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset.
Keith, since setting up the organisation has qualified as a Professional Tree Inspector with Lantra – the highest tier for tree inspector which Lantra currently offers. Also is a certified license holder of the Quantified Tree Risk Assessment (QTRA) method of tree risk assessment. Most recently completed a tree related Subsidence course by the Arboricultural Association.
Stewart has over 40 years experience in the industry. Previously owning and running a tree surgery business with 50 employees. Stewart holds a Diploma in Arboriculture.

Risk Assessment - Tree risk assessment using Quantified Tree Risk Assessment (QTRA)
Property owners and managers have a duty under English law to ensure, insofar as ‘reasonably practicable’, that people and property are not exposed to unreasonable levels of risk from the failure of trees in their control.
Our risk assessments provide a risk category and where necessary, specify remedial works to reduce that risk to an appropriate and agreed level.
