Organisers of Triathlons & Duathlons in Devon: The South Hams Triathlon, Dartington Duathlon, Torbay Triathlon, Geopark Triathlon and the Donut Duathlon.
We are Sportiva Events. We started with the first Dartington Duathlon in 2015. Since then we have branched out with the South Hams Triathlon at Blackpool Sands and now three events in the Torbay area: The Donut Duathlon, The Geopark Triathlon and the Torbay Triathlon.
Our mission is to deliver excellent endurance sports events.
Sportiva Events started as a hobby. After moving to Devon from the South East there didn’t seem to be any duathlons, my favourite multi-sport events, in the local area. I spotted a possible bike course on my door step and teamed up with Stewart Bergman and Rory Aitken to stage the first Dartington Duathlon in 2013.
In 2017 Stewart decided to concentrate on his cycling Sportives and I took over the South Hams Tri and Dartington Duathlon and added three existing events from the Torbay area originally set up by Brendon Prince. We re-branded as Sportiva Events and from October 2017 I have been working full time on the events.
