Mill Bay beach is on the East Portlemouth side of the Salcombe Estuary. It is a privately owned and sheltered beach, very popular with families and brilliant for making sand castles and sunbathing.
It's more fun to get to by ferry or by your own boat. Sailing dinghies are parked above the high water mark and boating is certainly the order of the day from this beach.
At low tide there are plenty of rock pools to explore.
